IES technology enables the production of PEXa pipes up to Ø140 mm with a stable output of 450 kg/h, setting a strong benchmark in the market. Solutions are available for PEXa pipe extrusion from Ø12 mm up to Ø140 mm, providing flexibility across a wide range of applications.

PEXa pipe is produced exclusively using the peroxide (Engel) method, where cross-linking occurs during extrusion while the polyethylene is in a fully molten state. In modern PEXa lines, this process is supported by infrared (IR) ovens that deliver rapid and uniform heat directly to the pipe wall, activating the peroxide efficiently and consistently. This in-line hot cross-linking creates carbon-to-carbon bonds throughout the polymer matrix, resulting in the highest and most uniform degree of cross-linking among all PEX types, commonly exceeding 70 percent and often reaching 80 percent or more. The use of IR ovens allows precise temperature control and continuous operation, enabling stable high-speed production without sacrificing cross-linking quality. The final pipe exhibits exceptional flexibility, tight bending capability, and strong thermal memory.
